Lux Cafe in Battle Creek

So disappointed in today service!! This is are go to breakfast place. Love it, until today. My brothers have flown in from California for our moms funeral. Before we started our day of getting things taken care of, we wanted to have a good breakfast. My brother gave the waitress his credit card to take care of the bill. We waited for about 10 min than tracked down the waitress for the credit card. Had no idea where it was. Went to the front counter, no credit card. Well apparently the credit card was stolen. It was stolen right off their counter!!!! No worries, our bill was already charged. We got "so sorry". Seriously!!! By the time we got out to the car, my brother already saw charges on his credit card. This was in a matter of minutes. I will not allow a waitress to take my credit card ever again! Or trust this business to handle things properly. I rarely ever do reviews. but I want patrons to be aware of what could happen to them.

As a long time veteran of the service industry I'm very picky when it comes to my food. I had absolutely no complaints when it came to my eggs Benedict, and well hash browns. Might be BC'S best and fastest breakfast. I swear I've waited longer in line at McDonald's for a cheese burger then I did for this beautiful plate of food. Bravo Lux staff, I'll be back!

Professional, polite, efficient, we came as a party of twenty and waited only eight minutes to be seated. The staff was great! The server very quickly fixed errors and made everything right. Water was refilled in a timely manner and coffee carafes were placed throughout the table. The food was hot and well cooked. Always a great choice!!!

Service is always great. Food is awesome and so are the prices. Does not take long to receive your order, and you dont feel rushed to complete your food. You can definitely sit back, relax, and enjoy

I have to say I LOVE their breakfast, lunch not so much. Went in for lunch, service was terrible. Server did not ASK for my drink, only my husband's. Server was QUICK to walk away after being asked for anything or even after she asked if everything was "all right". No it was not, husband needed a refill, didn't get one.IF YOU ARE OF ANY RACE OTHER THAN WHITE, I SUGGEST YOU GO ELSEWHERE. Unless you want your server rolling their eyes at you and you like losing your appetite. I did tip, because we are NOT those type of people.Husband is white, this is coming from his wife which is Mexican.

Eat there every day. Do not agree with giving kids breakfast. If they cannot go to school how can they go out to eat? Would better to donate to the foodbank or another charity.

Always busy so make sure you factor time in! Hearty servings of food, great family friendly service. A go to for family gathering breakfasts

Ordered the country skillet with 2 pancakes and coffee. Big portions reasonably priced. Easy atmosphere, friendly staff. Didn't take long to get food at all. Plenty of seating.

The food is great and the service is great. This place can get busy. You might want to call ahead and make reservations.

food is always fantastic, they are all so polite, emily has such a bond with my kids and they love her for it. the portions are out of this world! the best food around we always look forward to our food time there. wish their hours were open a little more, but still 5 STARS!!!!!!

Excellent food and service as always. My son and his family joined us for their first visit and we're extremely happy with their food and service as well. Our only issue was that it was extremely warm in the restaurant which is very unusual. I will add to their defense that it was very hot outside which may have caused the air-conditioning to be overworked. We have never had a bad experience at this restaurant.Keep up the good work Lux Cafe!

This is my new favorite restaurant to go to for breakfast. Food was so good and portions were huge! And our waitresses are always so helpful and friendly. Plus the prices are good.

The grey haired guy sleeting us was a little rude. My wife and I come over from Marshall often and usually ask for summer or crystal. He said they were not there today, and, said he would like to get rid of both of them. Hi Jimmy

Best place in B.C. for breakfast ... I'd say it's a little pricey though.

Great breakfast, friendly and attentive staff, and coffee never got empty.

We always have breakfast here when visiting from Georgia. Staff is always friendly and on point. My aunts with whom I'm visiting always see someone they know dining in. The portions are phenomenal and the prices decent. I'm pretty certain you can order anything off the menu at any time (i.e. lunch for breakfast, etc.).

Stopped here after my brother's funeral. Large selection, everyone got something the enjoyed. The eggs benadict was great. The others enjoyed a variety of skillets. Friendly staff coffee always refilled and they didn't make us feel rushed as we shared stories

Quality food/generous servings - if you leave here hungry, you didn't eat all of your food.

Very friendly service and quick. Portions are generous and the prices are fair. The coffee is good. I had the senior biscuit and gravy and it came with (2) egg on top cooked to order nicely done a d a side of hashbrowns. More than enough food for sure.

It was wonderful I ordered the meat lovers omelet with the pancakes hash browns and it was mouth watering and filling and I have leftovers I will recommend it to my friends

Hometown diner feel with very large portions! Servers are always so friendly and on top of their job! Not once did I have to ask for a coffee or water refill because they never went empty. Food came out hot and fast, portions are huge and prices are low! We got a BLT wrap that came with fries and soup , deep fried mushrooms and buscuits and gravy. Only thing I would say needs to change is the gravy because there isn't any sausage in it but everything else tasted amazing!
